The Frog Tale

Welcome to Dad and the Frog Café. We’re your local spot in Surry Hills for seriously good food, specialty coffee, and genuine hospitality.

Since opening in 2022, we’ve built a strong reputation in the Sydney café scene. We were named Best Café at the 2025 Local Business Awards and won Toby’s Estate Local Legends in 2024, with a runner-up in 2025. That recognition belongs to our team and the community that backs us.

Everything on our dine-in menu is made with care. We use local ingredients, brew Madding Crowd Coffee, and make all our sauces, jams and relishes in-house. We serve breakfast, brunch and lunch seven days a week, and we’re fully licensed if you’re after a glass of wine or a cocktail with your meal.

You can book a table ahead of time or just walk in. If you're organising a meeting, party or office lunch, our catering service has you covered with flexible, fresh options delivered to your door.
